A Level Photography students recently spent four days in the German capital visiting exhibitions and taking photographs for their coursework. The highlights of the trip included seeing the remains of the Berlin Wall, the Brandenburg Gate and exhibitions of the work of portrait photographers Mario Testino and Helmut Newton.
Students also visited Berlin Zoo and the Museum of Medical Science – which featured real life human specimens in jars, certainly not for the faint-hearted!
The group experienced Germany’s fine food, eating enough burgers, currywurst and pretzels to feed a small army. The weather was surprisingly good for Berlin in February and everyone had a great time. Mr West and Mrs Browning would like to thank all of the students for their excellent behaviour and the countless laughs they provided.
