Year 12 and 13 Photography students recently spent a day in London taking photographs and visiting two of the finest art galleries in the world. Having arrived in London in time for a McDonald’s breakfast (or two in Mr West’s case), students visited the Victoria & Albert Museum – home to magnificent collections of jewellery, sculpture, painting fashion and photography. Following a lovely walk through the city, taking in Green Park, Buckingham Palace and Trafalgar Square, the group arrived at The National Portrait Gallery to visit an exhibition of portrait photography. Students then enjoyed an evening meal before spending time shopping at Covent Garden. The day was extremely productive with students taking some outstanding images and also highly enjoyable. Mr West would like to thank all of the students for their hard work and for making him laugh so much throughout the day!
